The second belt the Yankees approached me to make was this Defensive Player of the Day belt to be used by the Yankees training facility in Florida.

Nick Swisher reached out to me to create this belt for the team’s use while in the training facility. This belt was made in 2019 and due to the Pandemic, it’s use was slightly delayed.

This belt features 3 plates, dual plated, the Yankees motto on the side plates, all mounted on a airbrushed leather strap to replicate the look of a worn baseball glove. It also features some black antiquing to bring out the tooling, and hand double loop lacing.

The Yankees sent me a dozen game balls, and I tried my best to implement it into the belt. I removed the leather cover and stitched it into the snap box.
